Now it's Capitol Hill's coolest event venue (and DC's home-town creative agency)!
The backStory
Taoti is DC's premier creative & marketing agency... and had some extra space in the office.
Established in 1996, Taoti builds websites, films commercials, creates radio spots, develops brands, buys media, lights up social, and does whatever else it takes to move the needle for its clients. Clients including DC Lottery, the Architect of the Capitol, the Jane Goodall Foundation, US Figure Skating, The World Bank, the National Association of [you name it], and Carnegie Mellon, just to mention a very few.
In 2022, they outgrew their old offices on Capitol Hill and moved across the street to 507 8th Street, SE DC. Aka, “Barracks Row.” Taoti operates out of their studio on the second floor, but they had ~7000 sq ft of wide open space on the first floor to play with. Someone said, “this would be a good place for a helluva party...”
And that’s how The 507 came to be.
THE SPACESThe LoungeA ready-to-go, multi-functional space with a full kitchen, high-top tables, couches, a pool table, dart board, large LED wall, professional audio, and musical instruments. It’s perfect for events ranging from casual gatherings to structured presentations for up to 125 people.The Event HallA flexible, do-anything event space, with room for hosting up to 400 people. It features built-in lighting, audio, and event essentials on-site, allowing easy customization anywhere from industrial chic to sleek elegance.
Tip: Use both spaces at once! The upstairs makes a great VIP lounge for a larger event downstairs!Filming / Production / FabricationYou don't have to throw a party here. We also use this space for casting calls, filming TV spots, recording audio, and building stuff! We have a full array of shop tools, capabilities for wood- and metal-working, and (to our knowledge) Capitol Hill's only forge, all on site! Whatever you want custom-built, we got you covered.

It works for 20 or 200 people. I love how the different areas can be used to create partitions without it feeling disconnected.
I can't believe this is their office during the day! Pool table. Popcorn machine. Lounge area. And a disco ball that never turns off. I wanna work here!!!
